Buisness Track
Ok, we have all heard about all these people who make a ton of money on the internet, doing things that when they got brought up in conversation, they probably got laughed at. Well, I recently met a guy at work who makes online stores. He no longer works here because he didn’t see a point being he makes more with his online stores than actually being at work. I asked him what he produces to sell and he simply said, “Nothing.”. It turns out, he makes reseller accounts places and sells weird stuff like materials to make your own growth hormones and hho kits.
While I don’t want to sell stuff like this, I was intrigued about making some online stores. I have my own server, domain, couple hours free a night after my son goes to sleep (providing I can stay awake). So I figured why not. For anyone interested, I will try to keep a detailed account on my blog incase it works out well. If it does, any ideas I come up with feel free to use for yourself.
Ads vs No Ads
This question has been sitting in my head for awhile. Should I put adds on my sites. If so what kinds? Well, adds are another form of revenue. But you can’t get any of the good adds until your site is ranked atleast a 1. But then there are click adds such as google adds where you get money when people click on them. Click adds can be used successfully to make a lot of money, but it usually involves some sort of decit. By this I mean doing things like using a text-click add in your site’s menu. A viewer thinks it is part of the menu and clicks on it. I’m not a big fan of this.
What I eventually concluded was to keep my main domain add free. Any store I make as a sub-domain I am going to alternate putting adds onto it and see the difference.
SEO
Search Engine Optimizaion… I will have to come back to this because I don’t really know much about it ><.
